Funding Opportunity: Implementing evidence-based interventions that prevent, delay or reduce health and social care requirements for older adults in underserved communities

With numerous well-evidenced interventions already available, this funding opportunity seeks to support research proposals that aim to implement and scale these interventions, including generating evidence on their financial sustainability, to help ensure their longer-term adoption.

 

Funding Details:

  • Up to £1.2M per application for a maximum duration of four years

 

Eligibility Criteria (at a glance):

  • Principal Investigators must be based at a UK university, NHS Trust / Board or other eligible research organisation.
  • Proposals must focus on an existing intervention(s) with robust evidence of effectiveness.
  • Proposals must generate evidence on the economic impacts / implications / sustainability of the intervention(s), to help facilitate its longer-term adoption.
  • Teams must include appropriate commissioning / adopter partners and relevant health economics expertise (or similar).

 

Application Process and Key Dates:

The expression of interest (EOI) stage is opening in early June. Applicants must submit an EOI application by 26 June 2025, with successful applicants being invited to submit a full application by mid-October 2025.
