Emergency Medicine

NHS Lothian offers excellent opportunities for Emergency Medicine research through EMERGE, one of the UK's leading emergency care research groups. Research spans the breadth of emergency medicine presentations but particularly focussed on cardiovascular and cerebral emergencies, trauma, sepsis, toxicology and acute care diagnostics supported by dedicated research staff, sample processing facilities, centrifuge access, and minus 80°C sample storage.

Biomarker discovery and validation (including physiological and ECG monitoring) and early-phase evaluation of novel technologies| biospecimen processing, storage, and rapid centrifugation infrastructure.
